How to do it

One partner lies down while the other lies on top, facing the opposite direction.

Alternatively, both lie on their sides, head to toe, which is easier on the neck.

Take turns leading if doing both at once becomes distracting.

Tips

Lying side by side is kinder to necks and knees than one partner on top.

There is no rule against pausing to enjoy just one half for a while.
